Introducing: THE TABLE DESIRES EDIT
For quite a while we have shared tables, styling ideas and inspiration through social media. But some stories deserve more than a few seconds on a screen. That is why we have created 'The Table Desires Edit'.
Every Thursday we will invite you into our world of table design and share ideas, table hacks and inspirations that help transform an ordinary table into something unforgettable. Think of this as your weekly guide to the art of hosting.
We hope you will enjoy this and to inspire you!

THE PALM EDIT
Let us tell you how one table turned into three different stories.
One of the biggest misconceptions in table styling is that creating a new look requires an entirely new table.
New plates.
New linens.
New accessories.
But what if we told you that the most transformative element is often just one carefully chosen statement centerpiece?
For this table, we started with the exact same foundation:
Our palm tree tablecloth.
Hand-painted porcelain.
Natural woven placemats.
Soft pink linen napkins.
Then we challenged ourselves:
How dramatically could we change the atmosphere without changing the table itself?
The result was three entirely different stories:
Three Centerpieces. Three Moods.
Handbemalte sizilianischen Moorish Heads Vase Weiß Frau
Handbemalte sizilianischen Moorish Heads Vase Weiß Mann
Tischlampenfuß Bamboo Bronze
Lampenschirm Khaki
Handbemalter Keramik Kerzenhalter Palme Grün Klein
Palm Candleholder Pink Medium
Orchideenzweig Realtouch Pink
Metall Pagodenlaterne Apricot Small
1. The Statement Centerpiece
For our first interpretation, we introduced two oversized Sicilian head vases.
Design Lesson: When in doubt, think bigger. A generous centerpiece instantly elevates even the simplest table.
2. The Palm Candle Garden
For the second version, the flowers disappeared and a collection of ceramic palm tree candleholders took centre stage.
Design Lesson: Repeating an object creates rhythm. Sometimes several smaller pieces have even more impact than one large arrangement.
3. The Glow of Table Lamps
For our final interpretation, we introduced portable table lamps and lanterns.
Design Lesson: Lighting is one of the most overlooked tools in table styling. Few elements influence mood more dramatically.
The Takeaway
The biggest styling mistake? Thinking you need an entirely new table setting every time.
In reality, the most memorable tables are often built from the same foundation, simply transformed with a few standout pieces.
That's exactly what The Table Desires Edit is all about: showing you how to create maximum impact with thoughtful details, clever styling tricks, and pieces you'll return to again and again.
See you next Thursday.
